About this grant

The SVVE (subsidie voor verduurzamingsonderzoek en -advies) is a Dutch national subsidy run by RVO on behalf of the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning. It helps owners' associations and residential cooperatives pay for research and advice needed to make their buildings more sustainable. The page describes the subsidy as a way to commission several investigations and advisory services at once. The subsidy covers a broad list of studies and advice, including building condition and energy assessments, asbestos inventories, concrete damage research, fire safety research, a sustainable multi-year maintenance plan (DMJOP), heritage sustainability advice (DuMo-advice), an energy scan, a feasibility study covering at least two sustainability measures, flora and fauna research, facade research, installation advice, tailored advice, process support for decision-making, ventilation research, and advice on solar power installations. Applicants submit one application per owners' association covering all advice and research together, for one building or a group of buildings. The subsidy is 75% of the invoiced amounts including VAT, up to a maximum set by building size: EUR 20,000 for 1 to 10 dwellings, EUR 30,000 for 11 to 30 dwellings, and EUR 40,000 for more than 30 dwellings. Some individual advice types have lower caps of EUR 1,500 or EUR 2,500 per building. The subsidy is claimed afterwards, using invoices, proof of payment, and the research report where relevant. The application window is listed as 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2030. Decisions are expected within 13 weeks of application.
