About this grant

Diag Eco-Flux is a Bpifrance-operated diagnostic service, designed with ADEME, that helps small and mid-sized manufacturers and businesses cut losses of energy, materials, water and waste. The problem it addresses is that production sites often lose resources through inefficient flows that managers have not systematically identified. The service follows four steps. First, an expert surveys the company's flows and identifies priority savings areas. Second, the expert helps set up a simple action plan to reduce waste and consumption of energy, materials and water. Third, the company launches its first actions. The programme states an average saving of about 60,000 EUR per year per production site, based on expert recommendations from 1,528 projects since 2020. The intervention consists of 7 expert days spread over 6 to 8 months. The expert visits the company's premises, meets staff, gathers data and produces a summary of target savings by flow type (energy, materials, water, waste) along with a detailed action plan. The service is not limited to a single flow and is distinct from an energy audit. The programme is financed through the CEE PACTE Entreprises scheme and also receives an ADEME subsidy covering 50% of the cost. The company pays 3,000 EUR excl. VAT, and the subsidy is paid by Bpifrance after the company submits the paid invoices from the consultancy and its bank details. Bpifrance selects an independent, accredited expert with at least three years of experience with SMEs and mid-sized companies.
