About this grant

ORMAT 2026 (Objectif Recyclage MATières) is a French grant scheme run by ADEME within its Fonds Économie Circulaire. It supports investment in sorting and preparation of waste for recycling, the production of recycled raw materials (matières premières de recyclage, MPR) and their incorporation into products, and the reuse, remanufacturing and refurbishment of batteries. The scheme was relaunched in 2026 on a negotiated (gré à gré) basis after earlier rounds in 2023, 2024 and 2025, with a refocused set of priority and eligible operations aimed at under-developed activities with greater environmental gain per euro of aid. The programme aims to strengthen material resource efficiency, supply-chain resilience and decarbonisation of French industry through recycling, in a context of raw material price volatility and future regulatory targets. It covers six material families: plastics, textiles, metals and batteries, wood, paper and cardboard, and glass and mineral materials. Two project axes are funded. Axis 1 covers diagnostics, studies, performance tests and experiments. Axis 2 covers investments in creation or capacity increase, higher incorporation rates, quality improvement and performance improvement. Detailed eligible operations per axis and material family are set out in the downloadable eligibility and funding conditions document. Applicants are advised to contact their ADEME Regional Directorate before submitting. The scheme is not open to projects located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA); projects there are referred to the Region.

About this sector

Circular economy funding supports reuse, repair, remanufacturing, product redesign and secondary materials markets.
