About this grant
ADEME supports investments in the treatment and recovery of biowaste produced by economic actors. The context is that source-separation of biowaste is now mandatory for all producers, including household biowaste, and ADEME wants to help economic actors manage it. The aid targets private biowaste treatment operators, who can receive funding for hygienisation units, low-carbon (soft-mobility) collection operations, creation of collective composting platforms, and adaptation of existing composting platforms. Methanisation is covered by a separate dedicated scheme. ADEME's investment aid can reach up to 60% of eligible costs. Applicants must create an Agir account and file through ADEME's online application platform, with expense-categorisation and filing guides provided. The aid is aimed at private operators that treat biowaste (opérateurs privés de traitement de biodéchets). It is available across Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Bretagne, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, Martinique, Normandie, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie, Pays de la Loire and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Applicants must hold an Agir account and comply with the conditions in the published eligibility and financing document for 2026.
